A couple of weeks ago at the Hull & Track club I was running a pre-convention test of my “Attack on Redback Station” scenario for a Full Thrust space fleet battles convention game when jokingly I said to James Rodgers “I was going to make the station model spin at one time, but it would have been a PITA!” He looked at me and said “with your love of detail and customizing I’m surprised you haven’t!”

Well that made me think well why haven’t I? About five years have gone by since I first built the station and the internet market for strange gadgets has exploded…especially in the area of “nick nack” display. Within moments I had found a very small motorized turntable that also lighted up for under $20 usd!!! Ten years ago this would have been a month long project and a real pain in the “arse” to build… nowadays, 4- clicks of the mouse and 1 day later amazon dropped it off! A bit of paint work in the form of stars and ready!
