Victorian Walker Tank (German)

Well here is another of my early Victorian models and again I just cant remember who made it. I do remember it was picked up at booth at Historicon and I remember the vendor, I think   RLB, Robert? who since has passed . I also think I remember that Chris Snell had gotten the last one an hour before me and I had to wait for the display model released as the vendor was packing! Any help in comments would be appreciated! Not much modification here since it was pretty nice to start with. The flag is removable so the machine can be used by different forces by simply changing out the national flag. I did this quite a bit early on to make a few vehicles more usable. Lots of people would come to game with historical colonial forces to use but have no vehicles yet. This allowed me to lend them a vehicle and simply have a bunch of different flags on hand to make it work! Hard to see is an effect I used to make the smoke more impressive. I used red brushed cotton intertwined in the black covered with some red and orange glitter to give the effect of a furiously burning boiler! I had seen this from early locomotives. I worked great I will try and take better pictures later.

  • Pinned the turret so it swivels.
  • Added replaceable flag insert.
  • Added plenty more rivets!
  • added Smoke and small steam jet.

A little base conversion to make it more stable and look better. Magnetic as always.

Another of my “Easter eggs” goes back to the “road runner” cartoons of my youth.

You can see better here the fire and ember effect.
