As we re-newed our interest in 15mm Napoleonic gaming I worked on some “fresh” terrain eye candy. I spotted the great looking 15mm Castle/Chateau on eBay. I had to strip off paint as it was done like a fantasy castle. I repainted it added a custom hill base complete with lake. It looks very much like the numerous “castles” found along the French and German borders.
Painted quite a few 15mm Napoleonic units. Way more than I took photos of!
- 15mm French 1815 line, figures “Old Glory”
- Custom base was built for the 15mm “castle” complete with small lake!
- 15mm French 1815 line, figures “Old Glory”
- French 5th hussars
- Hand painted command stands.
- 1812 Russian Line troops
Much of 2013 was devoted to painting my 28mm SAGA Normans! Many of these appeared on the Lead Adventure Forum in the “Medieval Painting Challenge”. All the flags and shield are painted, no transfers or pre-printed flags. This added quite a bit of time but was worth the effort I think.
- The complete unit of “Flemish Mercinaries” for SAGA. I painted the group using a limited color palette to create a sense of a professional unit for hire.
