PRUSSIAN MINI AIRSHIPS

Not long after building the Prussian Airship "Himmel Koenig" and running it at several conventions I felt that I needed more fire power for it since other later airships I had built were better gunned and I had also bought some "Sheltrum" Balloonist and wanted them to be "Prussian" balloonist.  I was never happy with the Sheltrun kits but found some useful stuff in them. So I set about collecting bits and pieces for my next project. After about a year of thinking and collecting I came up with this modification of the Sheltrum balloonist.

The entire Sheltrum Balloon was thrown away as well as its props and some of the rigging. The entire "Balloon area is hand made as well as the prop, rigging, and rudder sections. The figures arm were modified and control sticks constructed. Bomb dropping apparatus was scratched out of the parts bin and other little custom touches completed the model or should I say "two" models as I built two identical (almost) models one named the WESPE ( Wasp) and one called HORNISSE (Hornet). They now fly escort for my larger Prussian Airship.
