This is a great game to get people into "Historical" gaming and appeals to youngsters! My 7 year old son Paul played (it was his first war game with Dad!) and enjoyed it. Our game was set up with three hidden objectives, pieces of paper that represented plans to a invention. Each piece had a value, 3, 2, and 5. They were hidden under a terrain feature and both sides forces had to search the features to find them. The race was on! If you found a piece you had to let the other side know. You then had the option of exiting the board with and collecting the points (your whole unit had to exit and was no longer able to help your other units) or continuing the search / fight! staying meant you took the chance of getting the piece taken away by enemy forces.

The forces in the fight were all mine as no one else in the group has painted theirs yet (I expect the last game to have changed this soon!) and consisted of the following:

PATHAN REBELS.

1 Steam Tank (non turreted type) with medium cannon.

1 Russian built (captured) Steal Spider gun platform (no turret) 1 Gattling gun

2 unattached character figures, one Adventurer (Omar the Tent maker, One Leader Sabu the jungle boy).

The British government was in a uproar! The plans for the new "Multi chamber steam par boiler" had been stolen from a Royal courier while in transit from the drafting firm of P.J.& B. Brothers to the London War office for evaluation. The British government immediately sent out agents both public and private to find the perpetrators of this deed.

The plans traveled through many hands and were about to be sold to a foreign government when British agent caught up with the thieves in Kabuli Afghanistan and after a terrific chase through the hills outside the city killed them as they attempted to cross the border into Turkey. To their horror government agents discovered that the plans were not on the dead thieves. Since they were known to be on them at the beginning of the chase but not at the end, agents surmised that they had been hidden along the route of the chase. The search for the valuable plans takes months with many different governments taking an interest in the search and sending their agents, spies, and even Military units to the area to help in the search. The local rulers are powerless to control these fractions but do heir their own forces out in hopes of getting some "foreign aide" in return.

Our game begins as these various forces converge on the area in a wild search and battle for the hidden plans!
